How this impacts existing Asgard users after 29 November 2021

We are reviewing existing records to source personal identification information for existing users where possible. We’ll begin contacting those who we can’t identify from 26 November to ask them to verify their identity by providing us with their:

  • residential address
  • date of birth
  • occupation
  • copies of personal ID documents such as Driver’s licence number or Medicare number.

When will this information need to be provided?

All personal ID information will need to be provided by 31 March 2022. After this date, access to AdviserNET or use of an Adviser Code won’t be available to anyone who hasn’t provided all the identification information required.

How can existing users provide the required information

  • Complete the Existing user identity verification form, available 29 November.
  • Provide copies of at least two forms of ID (e.g., driver’s licence, passport, Medicare card) either by:
    - Email: asgardadvisersupport@btfinancialgroup.com.au
    - Mail: Asgard, PO Box 7490, Cloister’s Square, WA 6850
  • If you have more than one log in, you may receive more than one communication from us asking for ID. In this instance, you need only complete the above steps once as long as you list all of your log in details on the form under section 2.

How to securely provide information to Asgard

We understand there are instances where we need to you send us sensitive information such as providing your identity details (for example, within the new adviser access form), and where we require you to send in copies of records such as a driver’s licence or Medicare card. To securely provide client or personal information to Asgard you should use one of the following methods so that any personal information is protected.

  1. Fileshare - this is a secure file sharing service accessible via a web browser and allows users to upload information and documents.
  2. Encrypt confidential files and email to us. Please refer to your software provider for instructions.

For more information on how to use Fileshare and email encryption, refer to our data protection guide.
