Term deposits

A term deposit is a cash investment held at a financial institution (e.g. a bank) for an agreed interest rate over a fixed term, so the interest rate does not generally change for the nominated term.

BT Invest has a range of term deposits offering a variety of terms and interest payment frequencies to meet your needs.

For example, if you purchased a term deposit of $10,000 during the year, you'd pay:

$60 p.a.

* The $60 p.a. is an Account Based Administration Fee, and this fee will be the same regardless of how many investments you may hold (and won’t apply until you’ve made your first deposit). For example, if you later invest in a managed fund, your Account Based Administration Fee remains at $60 p.a.

Please note, an Asset Based Administration Fee applies to any investments in managed funds or the sector managed portfolio options (but not to BT Cash, term deposits or the five diversified managed portfolio options).

For further information see the ‘Fees & Costs’ section of the BT Invest Investor Guide and the ‘What are the fees and other costs?’ section of the BT Managed Portfolios PDS.
