BT Financial Group appoints new General Manager to lead its Platforms & Investments business

BT Financial Group today announced the resignation of John Shuttleworth, General Manager Platforms and Investments after 14 years with the Group.

“John has made an enormous contribution at BT including leading the team that launched BT Super for Life, Australia’s first low-cost super option where customers can manage their super alongside their everyday online banking. He also managed the Platforms business for the majority of the time since 2008 when we acquired Asgard, overseeing the growth in our funds under administration from $65 billion to $116 billion today. More recently, he has helped drive the development and delivery of BT Panorama, one of Australia’s fastest growing platforms that in the past two years has grown from $1 billion to over $9 billion funds under administration,” he said.

“We thank John for his significant contribution to BT and wish him every success for his next endeavours,” added Mr Cooper.

Today we are also delighted to announce the appointment of Kathy Vincent as the new General Manager Platforms and Investments.

Ms Vincent joins the group with over 25 years’ experience leading Australian wealth businesses. She joins BT from National Australia Bank, where her most recent role was General Manager, Wealth Products and Platforms, responsible for leading MLC’s retail wrap, mastertrust and asset management product business.

Before joining NAB, Kathy spent 18 years with Macquarie, most recently as the Head of Co-Investments for Macquarie Global Investments, leading a business to originate, structure, execute and distribute real asset co-investment opportunities and funds across diverse sectors.

In her role, Ms Vincent will be part of BT’s Senior Management Team and will be responsible for leading BT’s platforms business which includes Asgard, BT Wrap and BT’s flagship Panorama platform. Ms Vincent will also oversee BT’s specialist investment services including the life stage funds that sit within BT’s award winning products such as BT Super for Life.

“Kathy’s leadership skills and extensive experience in product management and strategy, across platforms, superannuation and investments will be a real asset to our business and will help us continue to deliver market-leading platforms and investments solutions to our customers,” said Mr Cooper.

Mr Shuttleworth will continue to lead the business and provide a handover to Kathy to ensure a smooth transition.
