Advisers rate BT Panorama No 1 for online business management

Financial advisers have rated BT Panorama as the number one investment platform when it comes to online business management features according to the latest Platform Competitive Analysis and Benchmarking Report from Investment Trends1.

The in depth research uses face to face interviews with financial advisers to compare 20 popular Australian investment platforms scoring them across six key categories. BT Panorama was rated first overall in the category of Online Business Management which includes a range of features2 that help advisers manage their business and engage with clients.

With an overall score of 92 per cent across Online Business Management BT Panorama came first in the areas of advice services fees, mobile platform, client portal and account opening.

The report states "BT Panorama’s quick rise up the rankings reflects its focus on adviser efficiency, its comprehensiveness and its intuitive design. Many differentiators separate BT Panorama from its competitors."

BT General Manager Platforms and Investments, Kathy Vincent said "Advisers are early adopters of technology and are adapting their practices to meet client expectations. The demand for mobile functionality and ability to transact on mobile devices is now essential."

Providing more accessible digital tools for advisers to efficiently engage with their clients by providing digital consent capability is increasingly important. Investor logins via the BT Panorama app are increasing with 75 per cent logging in more than three times per week and the most popular features being accessed are overview, portfolio investments and listed security details.

BT was also ranked number 1 on cybersecurity as part of the Integration category.

"Security is also top of mind for advisers and clients and our ability to provide world-leading cybersecurity practices which harnesses the capability of the Westpac Group is critical. Features like two-step authentication should no longer be a ‘nice-to-have’ as they are vital to protect clients’ money from cyber fraud," Ms Vincent said.

"We are very focused on ensuring BT Panorama provides the best adviser and client experience possible and we are really pleased with the recognition. Importantly, we still have more releases to come this year and we look forward to enhancing the platform even further," said Ms Vincent.

In further recognition, last month BT Panorama won Best Technology Platform for the third year in a row at the Conexus Financial Superannuation Awards.
