Meet Merryl Tidyman, Executive Manager, Fraud and Financial Crime
Our very own Financial & Cyber crime expert Merryl forms an integral part of our business. – with over 18 years’ experience in financial crime.
Financial misdeeds move very quickly, explains Merryl. When people are trying to illegally move money from account to account or country to country, things escalate fast. Merryl works closely with the AFP and other law enforcement agencies, gaining highly sensitive intelligence. She also commits extra time to helping keep children safe online. It’s a huge challenge, but one she’s very well-equipped for.
“It’s still very interesting to me,” she muses, “The view into the human psyche. What people will do to get their hands on money that isn’t theirs!” Thankfully, as she points out, Panorama enjoys robust security screening and tech, which is a huge advantage for BT, and the advisers and customers who use the platform.
Retrieving stolen funds when all hope was lost – that’s the best feeling.
