Meet Darshan Herga, Principal Engineer, Wealth Technology
Darshan started working with us in 2016. In fact, BT was the first job he got when he moved to Australia. Tech is in his DNA – his father was a technologist too, and Darshan grew up building things.
Now, he’s highly respected for the technical knowledge he brings to BT Panorama. As our Principal Engineer (UI) he works in Wealth Technology, making the platform as user-friendly as possible. Technology, he believes, is an ever-evolving space and as such he’s always trying to find the ‘next best thing’ to make the experience for advisers even better.
Darshan has been involved in numerous innovations to our platform; to mention just a few, Online Service Request Lodgement and Tracker, our Chatbot ‘Blue’ and Design and Distribution Obligations (DDO).
The BT digital space is an interesting mix of technologies and systems, and we constantly want to build new and cool things on top of it.
Working across multiple teams, Darshan appreciates how BT encourages people to explore fresh ideas. “Nobody gets everything right all the time,” he says, “But we’re on track to getting more and more things right.”
