Know your options

We understand you might want to look at other options before your account moves to BT Panorama. If you have an adviser, they can help you with this.

If you don't have a financial adviser and would like to find one, you can visit the BT Find an Adviser tool. The tool only contains financial advisers who use the BT Panorama platform and who consent to be included in the tool, so you’ll be able to find an adviser who is familiar with the platform and ready to support you with your account. To access a broader range of advisers, please refer to the ASIC MoneySmart website.

If you’ve considered other options and you decide you don’t want to have your account moved to BT Panorama, here are some things to consider:

  1. If you have an investment account, you can request to transfer your investments out via an in-specie transfer or you can request to sell all your investments and close your account. The request must be submitted at least 21 business days prior to the transition weekend.
  2. If you have a super account, you can request a full withdrawal and account closure (if you meet a condition of release) or a rollover to another super fund. The request must be submitted at least 6 business days prior to the transition weekend.

For more information, visit the transferring your super and super withdrawal options sections of the ATO websites.

Account closure and rollover request forms are available from Resources.

BT Panorama fees

BT Panorama fees and charges will be changing on 1 October 2025 and those new fees will be applied to most accounts1 when moved in 2026.

BT Panorama offers a choice between the Compact menu or the Full menu, which offer different investment options and have different administration fees and costs.  From 1 October 2025, we’re also introducing a new menu, Focus – which will offer a substantially lower administration fee, for those with simpler investment needs. You can read more about the new investment menu, and compare it with our Compact and Full menus, on our pricing webpage and in the relevant BT Panorama disclosure documents.

All Asgard accounts will be moved to either the Compact menu or the Full menu. For information on which menu your account will be moved to, refer to Investment menu mapping.

After your account is moved, you’ll be able to request to change between the Compact, Full and Focus menus if your investment needs change.

1. While ‘Asgard Managed Profiles and Separately Managed Accounts – Funds Super/Pension’ (Master Trust) accounts will also be moved to either the Full or Compact BT Panorama menu, there are limits to the fees that apply to Master Trust members who joined the Asgard Independence Plan Division Two super fund prior to 31 March 2004. More information will be provided in our fees comparison.

2. Values in the above examples are rounded to the nearest whole dollar. The examples assume the daily balance has not changed during the year. Administration fees are calculated based on the average daily account balances ($250,000 for Panorama Investments and $50,000 for Panorama Super as in the examples above) and assumes $2,000 is held in the transaction account. Fees from October 2025, are based on the updated fee schedule set out in the relevant supplementary disclosure document dated 31 July 2025.  The administration fees in the examples include both the account-based fee and the asset-based fee. The examples do not include expense recovery or any other fees, such as advice fees, transaction fees, transaction costs, external broker fees, transaction account fees, other indirect costs, investment management fees and any applicable buy/sell spread charges.

Advice fees

If you have a financial adviser, most existing advice fee arrangements with your adviser will be transferred to BT Panorama on the day we move your account and continue until their expiry date.

Only a small number of advice fee arrangements cannot be transferred and will cease on the day we move the account, including these:

  • One-off advice fees, including the adviser initial contribution fee, that are not deducted by the time the account is moved to BT Panorama (such as where the fee cannot be deducted due to an insufficient cash balance)
  • The Optional Feature advice fee, which is only available in Asgard Infinity eWRAP products. If you pay this advice fee, your adviser has been notified.

For further information on advice fees, speak with your financial adviser.
