Superannuation

Wherever you are in your working life – a new graduate, an experienced worker, returning to work or approaching retirement - there’s never been a better time to invest through superannuation. Money you earn through your superannuation investments is taxed at a maximum of 15%, which is lower than most marginal tax rates. And strategies like salary sacrificing, co-contributions and spouse contributions can add further benefit to your super investments

The information on this site will help you understand the choices, strategies and benefits available to all BT superannuation investors. Whether you invest in super via a fund chosen by your employer, choose your own fund or invest via your spouse’s fund, it’s important to understand how to make the most of your super, what type of super is best for you and how to make sure you have enough superannuation to enjoy your retirement.

Is 9% enough?

Did you know that, depending on when you retire, you can expect to live up to another 30 or 40 years? Your employer’s compulsory Super Guarantee contributions of 9% may not be enough to fund the retirement lifestyle you want. Topping up your super now may help ensure a more comfortable retirement.
