This is an important question for you to consider before deciding to set up your own self managed super fund.
If you like being in the driver’s seat and want more flexibility than a conventional super fund, managing your own super may be an attractive option. But there are some pros and cons to consider.
To apply for our SMSF setup service you will also need to apply for a Panorama Investments account and an integrated BT Cash Management Account (CMA) for your SMSF. Our SMSF consultants will help you apply for these in one simple application.
All of your Panorama investment transactions – including when you buy, sell or receive dividends – will be transacted through your BT CMA. The BT CMA is also designed so you can use it for all of your SMSF’s other transactions (eg to receive contributions, pay pensions or receive rental income on an investment property).
Some of your BT SMSF fees will be deducted from your BT CMA, such as:
- SMSF setup costs
- Paying for your investment platform account
- Share trading costs.
If you're ready to get started you can apply online in about 10 minutes.
