The Trustee of BT Super and BT Super for Life (including Westpac Group Plan) appointed AIA Australia Limited (AIA) as the group life insurer, effective 1 July 2020.
AIA is an award-winning global insurer with over 47 years’ experience in Australia, that shares our philosophy of supporting the health and wellbeing of our members.
The insurance arrangements for our BT Super and BT Super for Life members, employers and advisers will be provided by AIA from 1 July 2020*.
We are currently working to update all related insurance forms and documents to reflect AIA as our group life insurer.
There is no change for members who had a claim in progress before 1 July 2020. They can continue to contact their Claims Consultant.
If members need to make a claim, they can contact us for help.
This does not impact BT Protection Plan policies which continue to be provided by Westpac Life Insurance Services Limited (WLIS) through BT Super Invest, Panorama Super and SuperWrap.
AIA Australia Limited (AIA) has over 47 years’ experience in Australia. They provide life insurance for some of Australia’s largest super funds and currently protect over four million Australians.
We are updating our insurance forms and documents to reflect AIA as our group life insurer as quickly as is reasonably possible.
In the interim, please continue to use our existing forms and documents.
