Taking control of your super today could mean a more rewarding retirement and BT Super’s smart technology makes it easy!
Let’s start by ensuring your account is setup.
Simply log in to the BT Super Portal and complete your super profile.
Life doesn’t stand still, so remember to update your details if things change.
Check that your mobile number, email and postal address are up to date so that you don't miss out on important information about your super account.
It’s important to provide your Tax File Number to ensure you pay the right tax on your super contributions.
And you’ll need it to find your lost super accounts, which is also something you may want to do during your account set up.
It’s also a good idea to nominate a beneficiary so that your super is distributed according to your wishes when you're no longer around.
Are you and your family covered if something unexpected happens? Check your insurance arrangements including the type and amount of cover you hold. Remember insurance and savings for retirement are both important.
Finally, you might want to check out how your super is invested.
You can leave the investing to us by staying in the default life stage fund. Or choose your own investment mix including sustainable investment options.
Regardless, it’s important to consider whether your investment choice will help you reach your retirement goals.
