Paying money into your super now could make a big impact later in retirement.
Once you’ve logged into your BT super account online, you’ll find the details you need to add money to your super.
If you want to make sure your Superannuation Guarantee payments or award contributions from your employer are being made into your account, click on “Changing jobs”.
Here you can ask BT to set up your employer payments by selecting “Do it for me”, completing the details, and we’ll email your employer with your request.
If you prefer to arrange these payments yourself, select “Do it myself” and choose whether you want a pre-populated email template to send to your employer, or a form with your BT super account details for you to print, sign and hand to your employer.
Be sure to confirm your email address, and press “submit”.
If you want to make any after-tax contributions to super, select “Account details” from the left-hand menu.
Here, you’ll see your BT super’s BSB and account number if you want to make a direct debit, or if you scroll down, you’ll see two BPay biller codes – one for personal contributions, and another if your spouse makes any contributions into your account.
For Westpac, St.George, Bank of Melbourne, and BankSA customers your BT super details will be in your list of accounts in your online banking, and you can make a transfer that way, but remember the transfer is only one way.
For any contributions you choose to make, be sure to understand your contribution limits.
