We’re here to help and support our customers who have been affected by the February/March 2022 flood crisis in NSW and QLD. To support those in need, we’re offering a Flood Assistance Package which provides a 3-month premium waiver period for eligible life insurance customers.

What assistance can I get?

The Flood Assistance Package provides eligible customers with a 3-month premium waiver, effective from the next policy payment date (note: customers who pay premiums annually and half-yearly will receive a pro-rata waiver in future).

Cover will con­tinue while pre­mi­ums are be­ing waived un­der this pack­age.

Our claims team can provide additional support during this difficult time, with your new or ongoing claim by making advanced payments of your benefit and helping to gather any necessary claim requirements.

Please note:

You will need to provide evidence that you are receiving or have received government assistance for the February/March 2022 floods.  Please see the Terms and Conditions below for more information.

To access the Flood Assistance Package, please contact your financial adviser or contact us directly by phoning 1300 553 764 from Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 6:00pm (AEST).

Terms and Conditions for the Flood Assistance Package


To be el­i­gi­ble for the February/March 2022 Flood Assistance pre­mium waiver, cus­tomers must: 

  • hold an ac­tive life in­sur­ance pol­icy (in­clud­ing poli­cies held within su­per­an­nu­a­tion) with risk com­mence­ment date prior to 30 September 2021

  • sign and submit the Flood Assistance Package application before 30 September 2022, and

  • pro­vide ev­i­dence of hav­ing been ap­proved for any ONE of the be­low gov­ern­ment as­sis­tance pay­ments for the February/March 2022 Floods in NSW or Queensland:

    • Aus­tralian Gov­ern­ment Dis­as­ter Re­cov­ery Pay­ment
    • Dis­as­ter Re­cov­ery Al­lowance
    • Emer­gency Hard­ship As­sis­tance Grant
    • Es­sen­tial Ser­vices Hard­ship As­sis­tance Grant
    • Es­sen­tial House­hold Con­tents Grant
    • Struc­tural As­sis­tance Grant
    • Es­sen­tial Ser­vices Safety and Re­con­nec­tion Grant

Once sat­is­fac­tory ev­i­dence is re­ceived via email or mail, we will ap­ply the pre­mium waiver on the pol­icy and con­fir­ma­tion will be pro­vided to the cus­tomer.

Pol­icy hold­ers who do not meet the above cri­te­ria will be as­sessed on a case-by-case ba­sis for as­sis­tance.
