We’re here to help our customers who are suffering hardship as a result of the floods in NSW and South QLD in March 2021. We’re offering a Flood Assistance Package which provides a premium waiver period of up to 3 months for eligible life insurance customers.

What assistance can I get?

To assist our life insurance customers adversely impacted by the recent floods we are offering a Flood Assistance Package which provides eligible customers up to 3 months premium waiver, effective the next payment date (note: customers who pay premiums annually and half-yearly will receive a pro rata waiver in future). 

Our claims team want to support you during this time and can provide additional support with your new or ongoing claim by making advanced payments of your benefit and helping to gather any necessary claim requirements.

When can I apply?

Eligible policy holders can apply for this assistance from 1 April 2021 until 30 September 2021.

How do I apply?

To access the Flood Assistance Package, please contact your financial adviser or contact us directly by phoning 1300 553 764 from Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:30pm (AEST).

You will need to provide evidence that you are receiving/have received government assistance.  Please see the Terms and Conditions below for more information.

Terms and Conditions for the Flood Assistance Package

The Flood Assistance Package is available for our life insurance customers until 30 September 2021. 

Eligible customers will receive up to 3 months premium waiver effective the next payment date (note: customers who pay premiums annually and half-yearly will receive a pro rata waiver in future). 

Cover will continue while premiums are being waived under this package.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the premium waiver, customers must: 

  • hold an active life insurance policy (including policies held within superannuation) with risk commencement date prior to 30 September 2020, and
  • must provide evidence of having been approved for any one of the below Government assistance payments:
    • Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment
    • Disaster Recovery Allowance
    • Emergency Hardship Assistance Grant
    • Essential Services Hardship Assistance Grant
    • Essential Household Contents Grant
    • Structural Assistance Grant
    • Essential Services Safety and Reconnection Grant

Once satisfactory evidence is received we will apply the premium waiver on the policy and confirmation will be provided to the customer.

Policy holders who do not meet the above criteria will be assessed on a case by case basis for assistance.
