Get financial advice
When it comes to financial advice, everyone is different. Some people look for a financial coach who can help them with every decision. Others choose to go it alone and seek help when they need a second opinion.
Good financial advice is the right advice for you – based on your personal goals and financial situation. The good news is there are different ways to find the right advice – either general, limited or personal – whatever your requirements.
The right advice for you
General advice is advice that might be relevant to a wide range of people, but doesn't take into account your own personal goals and financial situation. For example, for most people it’s a good idea to only have one super fund – that’s general advice.
Limited advice is a bit more personal, and a little bit more about you. The advice is usually restricted to one element of your financial situation – for example, we might give you advice to reduce the number of super funds you have, and give you advice on the right super fund for you.
Personal financial advice is just that – financial advice tailored to your own personal situation. Anyone providing personal financial advice must be licensed to do so, and must have a full understanding of you, what you’re trying to achieve, and your personal financial situation.
The information below might help you choose which advice is right for you.
