Instructions for common BT Link calls

BT Link is for investors in a BT Financial Group investment, superannuation or retirement fund, or holders of a BT margin loan.

  • You’ll need the BT Link Fund Codes to transact.
  • To access personal information you need a PIN and your investor or member number.

Balance of your funds
  • Dial 132 135
  • Select Option 5 to use the automated BT Link service
  • Select Option 1
  • Enter your investor number (ignore the C) followed by #
  • Enter your BT PIN followed by #
  • Select Option 1  – you will hear the total balance of all your funds
  • Select Option 2 for the balance of a selected fund
Unit prices - using your Investor Number and BT PIN
  • Dial 132 135
  • Select Option 5 to use the automated BT Link service

  • Enter your investor number (ignore the C) followed by #

How to make transactions

1.    Dial 132 135
2.    Select Option 5 to use the automated BT Link service
3.    Select Option 1 to access Personal Account Information
4.    Enter your Investor Number (Ignore the ‘C’) followed by # key
5.    Enter your BT PIN followed by #
6.    Select option 1 at the first menu
7.    Select option 2 at the main menu for transactions

Transactions - Withdrawal

Redemption (referred to as 'Withdrawal' on BT Link)

  • Select Option 1
  • Dial 1 to enter the four-digit fund/portfolio code for the fund/portfolio you wish to redeem from, followed by #, or:
  • Dial 2 to listen and choose from a list of funds you can withdraw from
  • BT Link will confirm the balance of the fund you have chosen to make a withdrawal from
  • To confirm this is the fund you wish to make a withdrawal from, dial 1, or
  • To select a different fund, dial 2
  • Upon confirmation of the correct fund, BT Link will give you the most recent unit price
  • Select option:
        to enter a dollar amount to withdrawal
        to perform a full withdrawal from that fund/portfolio
  • Dial 1 to confirm the withdrawal - you will be issued with a transaction number, or
  • Dial * to cancel

Note: Transactions through the Investment, Switch, or Withdrawal will be based on next business day's unit price released at 4.00 p.m.

Transactions - Switch

  • Select option 2
  • Dial 1 to enter the four-digit fund/portfolio code of the fund/portfolio you wish to switch OUT of, followed by # , or
  • Dial 2 to listen and choose from a list of funds you can switch OUT of
  • BT Link will confirm the balance of the fund you have chosen to make a switch OUT of
  • To confirm this is the fund you wish to make a switch OUT of, dial 1, or
  • To select a different fund, dial 2
  • Dial 1 to enter the four-digit fund/portfolio code of the fund/portfolio you wish to switch INTO, followed by #; or
  • Dial 2 to listen and choose from a list of funds you can switch INTO
  • To confirm this is the fund you wish to make a switch INTO, dial 1, or
  • To select a different fund dial 2
  • To choose the amount to be switched, select
        to switch a dollar amount
        for a full switch followed by #
  • Select your distribution option (if applicable):
  • BT Link will then confirm all of the transaction details, conditions relevant to the transaction and the effective date of the transaction *
  • Dial 1 to confirm the switch - you will then be issued with a transaction number
  • Dial * to cancel the transaction

Transactions - Investment

  • Select option 3
  • BT Link will then confirm the conditions of proceeding with the transaction
  • Enter the four-digit fund/portfolio code of the fund/portfolio you wish to deposit money into, followed by #
  • BT Link will then confirm the bank account details where the deposit is to come from - dial 2 to confirm
  • Confirm this is the correct fund, dial 1
  • Enter dollar amount to deposit followed by #
  • Confirm this is the correct dollar amount
  • Select your distribution payment option (if applicable):
  • BT Link will then confirm all of the transaction details, conditions of the application and the effective date of the transaction 1*
  • Dial 1 to confirm the application - you will then be issued with a transaction number
  • Dial * to cancel the transaction
