Making a withdrawal

<<Back to ‘Maintain my superannuation’ options

There are a number of reasons why you may wish to withdraw from your BT superannuation fund:

  • Withdraw funds if you have unpreserved monies.
  • Withdraw funds if you meet a condition of release.
  • Rollover your super to another fund.

Conditions of release include reaching age 65, reaching your preservation age of 55 and being retired, total and permanent disablement, and severe financial hardship. Find out more about the  access rules or call BT Customer Relations on 132 135.

Provided you meet a condition of release and are making a withdrawal, direct crediting of funds to your nominated account is the fastest and easiest way to receive your payment. If you wish to have your withdrawal paid by cheque, it will be sent to your postal address.
