Consolidate your superannuation
The best way to keep your superannuation under control is by consolidating, or rolling over, all your super funds into one account. Consolidation has other benefits including:
- you pay only one set of fees
- you receive less paperwork
- you may achieve a better return on your super by adopting a more focused investment strategy.
Consolidate your super funds quickly and easily using BT's Easy Rollover Tool. You simply provide your details once, and the Tool will automatically create all the forms you need to bring your super investments together.
Alternatively you can complete a form for each super fund you wish to roll into your BT super account. Select the right consolidation form for your BT super product.
If you can't download or print the form, contact us to ask for a form to be sent to you.
In your decision to rollover we recommend you check what withdrawal fee your other super fund may charge you, and to consider any insurance cover attached to the old fund that may cease upon rolling over.
If you can't download or print the form, contact us to ask for a form to be sent to you.
Top-up your superannuation
There is more than one way to top-up your superannuation. When making additional contributions yourself, please remember to specify whether your contribution is a:
- Personal (or member) contribution,
- Spouse contribution, or
- Employer contribution.
You may also request your employer’s payroll area make a contribution for you. Pre-tax contributions are known as “salary sacrifice” and can be an extremely tax effective way to add to super. If submitting a contribution yourself, you can use one of the following methods:
Online
If you’ve already registered to use our online services, have a personal super account (not an employer super account) and have a direct debit arrangement in place, you can transfer money from your bank account by logging into BT Online.
BPAY
You can use your bank’s telephone or Internet BPAY facilities to transfer money from your bank account. You'll need our BPAY biller and investment codes.
Telephone
Call BT Customer Relations on 132 135 to transfer funds from your bank account, provided you’ve received a BT PIN from us, have a direct debit arrangement in place and have a personal super account (not an employer super account).
In writing
Download, print, complete and return an additional contribution form to us at the address on the bottom of the form. Payment may be via cheque or you can choose to set up a direct debit arrangement.
If you can't download or print the form, contact us to ask for a form to be sent to you.
