About claims

If you have an insurance policy and one of the events you are covered for occurs, you can make a claim. If your claim is accepted, you will receive a benefit or payout from your insurer. This can either be money or replacement or repair of your belongings.

However, an insurer can reject your claim. This can happen if a policy doesn’t cover what you expected. Some insurance policies can be complex, particularly where medical definitions are used. It's important to read your policy document thoroughly.
