What is a policy committee and when might I need to have one?

A policy committee is a group of employer and member representatives that communicate with BT and your employees about your super plan. It is a forum for members to voice their opinions and to make enquiries about the super fund and is a legislative requirement for plans with 50 or more members, or where you have between 5 to 49 members and at least 5 members request in writing that one be established for your plan.

BT has created a suite of support material for employers to assist in the establishment of a policy committee, available on the secure site of BTOE or by calling BT Employer Relations on 1300 553 010.
