BT responds to the Queensland floods

BT is committed to doing all we can to help our flood-affected customers and communities get back on their feet.

Our top priority is to support our customers and respond to the urgency of their needs – whether this means fast-tracking insurance claims or providing them with hardship payments.

Support for BT Superannuation, Life and Investment customers

We will also be prioritising and fast-tracking cash withdrawal transactions (including Financial Hardship and Compassionate Grounds) for Superannuation, Pension and Investment Clients across all BT products.

Support for the community

BT is part of the Westpac group. The Westpac group assures clients with Westpac or St.George Home and Contents insurance policies that they are covered for flood.

The Westpac Group will be contributing $1 million to support relief and recovery activities in the flood devastated areas of Brisbane and the broader South-East Queensland region. A temporary Mobile Banking Centre at Brisbane’s primary flood evacuation precinct has been set up to allow basic banking transactions and cashing emergency relief cheques.
