SMSF OFFER

BT has launched the first phase of its SMSF offering, with a fully integrated system that allows advisers, accountants and their clients to collaborate on the establishment and management of SMSF accounts.

The new solution will offer access to the full range of investment options available on BT Panorama, supported by services that will help streamline the fund establishment process for individual trustees.

Also included in this initial rollout are administration features that will allow advisers, accountants and clients to access the documents and statements they need to manage the fund. This includes a secure online document library, the production of individual member contribution statements, and the ability to upload external assets onto the platform for a whole of fund view.

BT General Manager, Platforms and Operations Mr John Shuttleworth says advisers know there is no such thing as a ‘typical’ client and SMSFs are not really self-managed!

“SMSF clients don’t suit a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach, given the diverse range of needs and preferences that these clients have. Recognising this, BT Panorama delivers SMSF clients a flexible solution where advisers can pick and choose what works for their clients and their business model.

“Managing an SMSF involves collaboration between accountants, advisers and their clients so we have built a system that brings them together,” said Mr Shuttleworth.

BT Panorama’s SMSF administration service will be launched in early 2016.

ASX LISTED SECURITIES

BT Panorama now offers a complete investment menu with the addition of listed securities to its existing range of investment options – BT Cash, Term Deposits, Managed Portfolios and Managed Funds.

Trading is easier and faster with the ability to buy, sell and research ASX listed securities all in one place.

The tech-smart market information dashboard allows advisers to tailor market information according to their clients. It feeds in real-time ASX data and provides efficient trading capabilities as well as online corporate actions such as upcoming dividends all in one place.

“With the launch of our SMSF offer and the ability to trade a wide range of ASX equities and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) BT Panorama is now attractive to a whole new set of clients,“ said Mr Shuttleworth.
